A Cat in Paris

The Academy Award nominated A CAT IN PARIS is a beautifully hand-drawn caper set in the shadow-drenched alleyways of Paris.

Dino is a cat that leads a double life. By day he lives with Zoe, a little girl whose mother is a detective in the Parisian police force. But at night Dino sneaks out the window to work with Nico - a slinky cat burglar with a big heart, whose fluid movements are poetry in motion as he evades captors and slips and swishes from rooftop to rooftop across the Paris skyline.

Nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the Academy Awards, the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, and the Cesar Awards.

"A charming, visually sparkling Parisian fantasy with a dark edge." - David Parkinson, Empire

This movie was such a delight! Wonderful animation, utterly charming.

The movie is both quintessentially Parisian while drawing from Chuck Jones and a smattering of Hollywood. The result is a delightful trip into stylized animation and good overall plot. Art style is reminiscent of Gary Baseman.

The animation was beautiful and a great homage to Parisian architecture. I loved the comedic bits. A really good film for all ages.

A real gem for kids of all ages. Beautiful animation. Paris looks beautiful, & the rooftops are magical. I don't know who won the Academy award that year, but I certainly will find out & hope you have it on your movie list. Watched the French version.
